L’Occitane, Molton Brown, The Body Shop, Sol De Janeiro Hand Creams

One thing we can all agree upon is that we use our hands for just about everything but we do not shower them with the love and care that they need. Our hands are overworked, up against the elements, exposed to the sun, cold, dirt, chemicals etc. Hands are one of the hardest working body parts and we neglect them immensely. L'Occitane, Molton Brown, The Body Shop, Sol De Janeiro hand creams work for me.

Luckily for us there are plenty of skin nourishing, moisturizing, skin-softening hand creams in the market today. When used regularly hand creams help in keeping damage caused by constant wear and tear at bay, and sometimes even help nourish your hands back to health.

These are a few of the hand creams I constantly reach for. A little about me or should I say my hands. We have severe winters here, I work at a school and am in steady contact with kids. I feel like I am constantly washing my hands. At home too!! Hence, I have been through multiple tubes of hand creams.

SOL DE JANEIRO Brazilian Touch Hand Cream

Sephora website says it is a quick-absorbing hand cream for a slip-free feel and a soft, powdery finish—lightly-scented with the signature Bum Bum Cream fragrance. It is good for Normal, Oily, Combination, Dry, Sensitive skin types. This product is vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated without gluten, animal by-products, propylene glycol, synthetic colors, PEGs, and petrolatum.

I love the smell of all the Bum Bum products and this is no exception. This is a light hand-cream and I use it when my hands are not too dry. I love this because it does not leave a residue on my hands, like some heavier hand creams, so it is perfect to use when I am outside. I use this as a maintenance cream, not a treatment cream and carry one to school everyday.

The Body Shop British Rose Hand Cream

It is a lightweight hand cream. This is very similar to the now discontinued Wild Rose hand cream from The Body Shop. The rose smell is not overpowering, it has a light rose floral fragrance. I have the larger size for home and the smaller one to carry with me. It’s not greasy and absorbs easily.

These are my favourite hand creams. I always buy a set around the holidays or during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The Sephora website says these are a collection of luxurious hand creams to help nourish and protect hands.These quickly-absorbed lotions are enriched with nourishing shea butter to lock moisture into the skin for silky-smooth hands. The award-winning Shea Butter Hand Cream contains 20 percent shea butter to intensely hydrate.

Without a doubt, this is the most hydrating, moisturizing hand cream I have ever used. I use a small amount at night, it gets soaked overnight and by morning my hands are soft and well nourished. These L’occitane hand creams are a staple in my regimen. The ones I have used are subtly fragranced, they absorb well and are not greasy. They help with my cuticles too.

It is definitely a splurge for a hand cream however a full size tube will last you a long time and the results speak volumes.

Molton Brown Coco & Sandalwood Replenishing Hand Cream

I’ll be the first to admit even though I have a plethora of hand creams I am always on the lookout for a nourishing, healing cream, treatment to pamper my hands. I saw the Molton Brown Coco & Sandalwood Replenishing Hand Cream on sale on Nordstrom Rack website and decided to give it a try. Must say I was pleasantly surprised. Generally speaking, this cream is thicker than the L’occitane hand creams and it definitely smells like sandalwood. I was surprised at how quickly it absorbs. In short, I did not think that I would ever like some hand cream as much as my L'occitane hand creams, but definitely comes close.
