I am always surprised at how fast time flies whenever I start writing a post about my monthly favorites. You know they say time always flies when you are having fun. So looks like I am having a lot of fun! No, I mean most of the time I am busy doing regular mom stuff. But I do enjoy writing blog article. So here is a list of my May Favorite Products, skincare and makeup.

Skincare Favorites

Facewash/Cleanser

I normally double cleanse when I wear makeup. Whenever I am not wearing any makeup, I find that just a good cleanser suits my needs better. My favorites this month for double cleansing have been Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm and Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Cleansing Gel.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

This is vegan and is a gentle, yet effective makeup remover that transforms from a balm to a silky oil, melting away face and eye makeup and sunscreen. I find this gentle but very effective. In addition what I love most is that it has no fragrance, is not grainy and does what it says.

Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Cleansing Gel

This is a gentle foaming face wash. Moreover, it smells great and does not strip my skin. I received this as a deluxe sample either as a GWP or against my store points, I don't remember which. Also, I can no longer find it on the Sephora, Nordstrom websites.

Overnight Face Mask

Youth To The People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask with Vitamin C

I first got a sample pack of this overnight mask. After using it at night, I woke up to plump, hydrated skin with some brightening effect as well. All in one use. I had to have it. Apart from Vitamin C this also has superberries, squalane, and hyaluronic acid. So I got this mini sized one and use it on nights that I am not using retinol or AHA, BHA's. I choose the mini sized one because being an skincare addict, there is an insane amount skin care that I have to go through. All my fault, I know! So choosing a smaller size helps sometimes.

Makeup/Skincare Favorites

Tinted Moisturizer

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30

This has been in my rotation for a few years now. I use the shade St. Moritz. It is a lightweight moisturizer which provides light coverage. Even though this has SPF, I use whatever daily SPF I am using at that time before applying this. I use this more as a light makeup rather than sun protection. I love this in the summers.

Sunscreen

La-Roche Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30

This sunscreen is relatively new to me. I love how gentle it is. Equally important, it does not leave a white cast and never caused any break-outs. I love using it indoors. For outdoor activities I use sunscreens with higher SPF. I use this after my morning Vitamin C serum and have been loving the results. That's why I included it in my May Favorite skincare products list.

Supergoop Glowscreen SPF 40 PA+++

I tried a sample of this and enjoyed it. During the Sephora Spring Sale I went ahead and purchased a full sized tube. It is a hydrating, makeup primer with SPF 40 and blue-light protection that has a pearlescent finish to leave skin luminous with a instant glow. I love this under makeup or just by itself. Many people experience pilling with this product, luckily I did not. Not sure why. On most days I wear it by itself or with a very light coat of tinted moisturizer. I have also tried it under foundation, over foundation as a subtle highlighter just on the highpoints of my face. Works fine always! Love it!

Makeup Favorites

Kosas10-Second Liquid Eyeshadow

I have been using this ever since I got this, every time I want a light wash of color on my eyelids. Shown here in the picture is the shade Globe which is described as a neutral champagne but is more of a very light brown on me. I love how I can just swipe the eyeshadow, blend and after it dries, I am good to go. You have to shake the container vigorously and remember to let the eyeshadow layer to dry completely before adding another coat.

Kosas Kosasport LipFuel Hyaluronic Lip Balm

The shade I have is Rush which is a light pink shade. The color is very flattering and my lips feel hydrated. I am not particularly fond of the shape of the tube. Another thing that bothers me is that if you twist up too much product, you cannot twist it back down. Love the natural hint of color, the slight minty smell and light hydration it provides.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara

This Vegan mascara gives my lashes a boost of volume and length. I love to rotate my mascara and this month I used the Tarte Mascara a lot. I am happy with how my lashes look after applying this.

Fragrance Favorite

Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne

If you are a long time reader, you know that this is one of my favorite fragrance, that I wear all year round. This is beautiful fragrance that smells light and fresh. Read my review here to know why I included this in my May favorites list.
