NARS Solstice Eyeshadow Palette

Stunning NARS Summer Solstice Eyeshadow Palette Review

When I saw the NARS Summer Solstice Eyeshadow Palette, I thought it to be beautiful. But, that was it. I was a little intimidated because of the red eyeshadow included in this palette. Although this maybe true, this palette also has other warm shades and I thought I would love it. So I bit the bullet and purchased it.

Sephora website says this is “A limited-edition eyeshadow palette that features nine rich bronze and golden tones. This new, limited-edition palette includes nine vividly warm shades. It contains a spectrum of rich bronze and golden tones, designed to spark glowing dimension. The pure pigments are suspended in an innovative liquid binding system to create rich, high-impact color in just one stroke.”

Packaging

The palette case is one of the most beautiful case/cover I have seen from NARS. It looks like the sun's rays, or golden shattered glass or fireworks and is simple breathtaking. I struggled to open it at first, but it is gradually getting easier to open it. The NARS Summer Solstice Eyeshadow Palette is a mirrored compact that holds 9 eyeshadows.

Formula

This palette has a mix of matte and shimmer shades. The formula can be used as an eyeshadow or liner, applied wet or dry. The eyeshadows are creamy and pigmented and easily blendable. Some shades perform better than the others. I think you can create multiple looks with these colors.

My Experience

The NARS Summer Solstice Eyeshadow Palette is simply stunning! Beautiful golds and copper tones are perfect for summer. The colors are even prettier in person. The pictures don't do it any justice. Moreover these eyeshadows are pigmented and blend beautifully. I found that some shades apply better with my fingers. I use some metallic shades as toppers, just at the center of my movable lid. Also, I experienced some fallout with Morongo, Sunstorm and Seduced. Applying with a damp brush or my fingers helped.

These colors really pop on my medium tan skin. I feel this has quickly become my summer staple. There is a kickback with some shades, but its not too much to bother me. If you are scared of red, copper tones or orangish-brown warm shades please swatch it in the store and you might change your mind. I did not think I would love it so much, but what can I say. I am loving this gorgeous palette.
