Rare Beauty Flush and Glow

Rare Beauty Blush And Highlighter Swatches

I wanted to try Rare Beauty products when they first came out. There was cute lipstick set and a blush set I had my eyes on. However it was always out of stock. So I was thrilled when I got my hands on this sample card with 2 blushes and 2 highlighters from Rare Beauty during the Sephora Spring Sale this year. Let's see how the Rare Beauty Blush and Highlighter perform.

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush

The blush shades included in the sample pack are Bliss and Joy. Sephora website says this is “A weightless, long-lasting liquid blush that blends and builds beautifully for a soft, healthy flush. Available in matte and dewy finishes. This product is also vegan and cruelty-free.”

Bliss is a matte nude blush. It is a beautiful pink with a hint of peach. Joy is a dewy muted peach and has a radiant finish. Both these liquid blushes are very pigmented and a little goes a long way. I use my fingers to blend the blush and it lasts 7-8 hours on my combination skin. As expected the matte blush is more dry than the radiant finish blush.

Rare Beauty Positive Light Liquid Luminizer Highlight

The Rare Beauty highlighter shades included in this sample pack are Transcend and Flaunt. Sephora website says this is ” Packed with light-reflecting pearl particles and a botanical blend of lotus, gardenia, and white waterlily. This multidimensional formula lends skin a dewy glow in seconds. Mix this weightless liquid highlighter with foundation or layer it across the high points of the face for instant radiance.” The highlighters are also vegan and cruelty-free.

Transcend is a beautiful rose gold shade. It is a subtle highlighter. I used it on the highpoints of my face and loved the effect. I prefer subtle highlighters, however if you are looking for a more flashy highlight, Transcend might not be for you. It melts into my skin and gives it a good sheen. Flaunt is bronze gold shade. Again this gives me a perfect, subtle glow, which is a bit more glow compared to what I get from Transcend. If you look too closely Flaunt does have some tiny pieces of glitter, whereas Transcend has shimmer. You can also layer both these shades to make them more noticeable.

A little goes a long way for me with these Rare Beauty Blushes and Highlighters. After swatching them, I kept them in a sample jar so that they don't dry out. That way I could get multiple uses out of sample card. Overall I am happy with the product and enjoyed using it. Please note that this is not a full review, as I do not own any of the Rare Beauty blushes and highlighters, in their regular packaging.
