So since I had used Josie Maran’s Argan Oil for years, with positive effects, I figured I should give the Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer a shot. I have been a loyal customer of this sunscreen for years now. I also use it as a face sunscreen for my kids.
Packaging
Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 comes packaged in a glass bottle with a pump. The pump mechanism works great . I need about 2 to 3 pumps to cover my face and neck.
Formula
The key ingredients are Zinc Oxide 9.4% and Titanium Dioxide 5.9% which provide sunscreen protection. This sunscreen also has 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil which hydrates and moisturizes skin with antioxidants and vitamin E. One of the ingredients mentioned is SunBoost ATB which supports sun protection while conditioning and nourishing the skin. Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer also has Jojoba which smooths and softens the skin and Green Tea which nourishes for a youthful-, radiant-looking skin.
Shades
The Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 comes in a tinted formula and a non tinted formula. I use the regular non-tinted version. The regular moisturizer is lightweight and milky looking but does not leave a white cast on me.
My Experience
I wear sunscreen daily, regardless of whether I am going to be outdoors or indoors. I put on sunscreen even if my makeup has SPF in it. This is my tried and tested daily sunscreen. It is easy to apply and absorbs well. I love the idea that this sunscreen/moisturizer has an Argan oil base. My skin tone is medium and this does not leave a white cast/tint on it at all. If it is completely rubbed in I get no white cast, just dewy skin.
Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 has a natural, pleasant fragrance. It disappears a few minutes after applying the sunscreen/moisturizer. The smell is not overpowering and it does not bother me. This does feel a little greasy at first, but not more than any other sunscreen. I can wear makeup over this without any issues. If you prefer a more matte look, you can apply any setting powder or finishing powder you use.
Overall, I love this! It looks great under makeup and does not pill, nor does it leave a white cast. A winner in my book!
