Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask Review

Napoleon Bonaparte was once one of the most powerful men in Europe, but he once suffered defeat at the hands of cute, fluffy rabbits. There are a few different versions of this story. Some say there were hundreds of rabbits, others say there were thousands of rabbits. After a military victory, a rabbit hunt was organized for Napoleon and his comrades. When the rabbits were let loose, instead of hopping away, they turned and attacked the hunting party. Instead of catching wild hare, the hunting crew bought tame rabbits from the villagers and the rabbits saw the hunting crew as food givers, not ferocious hunters. Napoleon tried to shoo them, but was unsuccessful and had to retreat to the safety of his carriage.

This made me laugh, but considering that I would also be terrified of hundreds of rabbits jumping on me, I maintained some composure. Back to today’s topic…Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask. Winter can be so brutal on our skin. We need all the help we can get.

Formula

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask is a light pink colored, thick creamy mask. Clinique says it is suitable for all skin types and is fragrance free. I still detect a slight coconutty smell, which is not very noticeable really, but maybe the natural smell of the ingredients.

My Experience

Clinique has made an excellent product in this Moisture Surge Overnight Mask. It absorbs quickly and does not sting my skin. I layer it more on extra dry patches. Mostly, I use it once or twice a week. Even with this occasional use, the product has not broken me out. After using it as an overnight mask, I always wake up with hydrated, softer, plumper skin. I have also used it over retinol and my face never feels dry the following day.

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask does not clog my pores. I have combination skin. I take a generous amount to cover my face and neck and massage it into my skin until it is absorbed into my skin. It is a staple in my routine and I plan to use it on my hands too.

I alternate between this and some other masks that I enjoy using.
