Simple Day Time Look With Some Staples From My Stash

I love going through my stash and using products I have not used in a while. It almost feels like getting a new palette, lipstick, blush to play with. That is why I regularly shop my stash. After one such shopping trip I rediscovered some products that I want to share with you today. So here is my simple day time look with some staples from my stash.

First up is a basic matte brown eyeshadow palette from Clinique. This post also includes one of my favorite foundations, an eyebrow pencil, an eyeliner and a lipstick.

Shopping Your Stash — Clinique Teddy Bear Quad

Clinique All About Shadow – Quad in Teddy Bear

Some might say that the Clinique All About Shadow Quad in Teddy Bear is boring but I would disagree. If you are looking for basic neutral, wearable, long lasting brown eyeshadows , Teddy Bear is exactly what you need. Plus don't you just love the name?

I love that I can use all four shades. For reference I am a Chanel Beige 40 , Mac NC37-NC40 , depending on the season. The shadows are velvety, so smooth and finely milled. Sometimes I can’t make up my mind as to what to wear, and I find myself reaching for this palette. It's subtle enough to give you a polished look without much effort. It's perfect to wear with red lipstick.

I do a quick look blending the darker colors on my lids, lighter color goes under the brow bone. A quick swipe of black liquid eyeliner and mascara and my eye look is done.

Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer

I have multiple concealers which have helped me from time to time with my dark circles and my acne prone skin. For this simple day time look I have use Nars Soft Matte Concealer in Macadamia. Sephora website says Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer is a full-coverage, oil-free concealer that conceals and blurs imperfections with a soft-matte, natural-looking finish.

I apply a thin layer of the Nars concealer in the shade Macadamia and it stays put all day. In the past I have used other shades from the Nars line in other formulations as well. I like the radiant creamy Nars concealer in Ginger and Custard as well, which is a medium finish concealer. This is the first time I am using a full finish concealer. I switch between Nars Soft Matte and Radiant creamy concealers depending on how my skin is behaving.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Brow Definer

I can’t say enough good things about this product. I use Medium Brown and Dark Brown depending on whether I have highlights in my hair or not. It makes a huge difference! As I get older my eyebrows need all the help they can get. Filling my eyebrows with this double sided eyebrow pencil is really easy as the product is creamy and looks natural. Just remember to use small strokes.

MARC JACOBS BEAUTY Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner

Sephora website says this is a gel pot eyeliner in a crayon that delivers intense color and 12-hour waterproof wear and amazing glide in shimmer and matte finishes. Apply Highliner for flawless, precise lines, or smudge immediately after lining for an instant smoky eye. It’s formulated with innovative gel ingredients, as well as conditioning vitamin E and rosehip seed oil. It’s intense color payoff is available in an array of richly pigmented shades with two finishes: original shimmer or high-impact matte.

I have used the shade Ro(Cocoa) 48 – golden brown shimmer, for this day time look. It’s long lasting and pigmented. I can use it on my waterline too. A quick swipe after eyeshadow is applied and I am confident that it will last till I get home, or till I take it off.

Simple Day Time Look — NARS Dolce Vita Lipstick

CHANEL VITALUMIÈRE AQUA ULTRA-LIGHT SKIN PERFECTING SUNSCREEN MAKEUP BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 15

This is not an in depth review of this foundation. I was wearing this foundation when I decided to do this post. It is one of the foundations that I have on rotation. I love it! It is so light, it feels like I have nothing on my face. My sensitive skin does not break out. It has light to medium coverage that I love. Even though my skin is far from perfect, I feel like this oil free foundation lets my skin breathe.

NARS Dolce Vita Lipstick

This dusty rose lipstick is absolutely perfect for you if you want a subtle, sheer wash of color. I have used this shade for years and repurchased it multiple times.
