Summer is here. School is done and I am so grateful to have some time to focus on the blog. I love writing for this blog. In fact the entire process of planning, photography and posting is all very exciting to me. This post includes my favorite sunscreens, because that's the only thing I am putting on my face these days. It's mostly sunscreen, mascara and a tinted lipbalm. I have also included my Vitamin C and morning moisturizer.
Kosas Kosasport LipFuel Hyaluronic Lip Balm is a hydrating, tinted lip balm. The color I have is Rush which is described as a sheer, cool pink shade. This imparts slight color to my lips and keeps them hydrated. I am not wearing much makeup these days and mostly just sticking to sunscreen and some lip balm. Tinted lipbalms to me is like makeup with skincare benefits.
In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara adds volume, and extends length of my lashes. I love it especially because it is not clumpy. This is perfect for days when I just want to apply sunscreen, lipbalm and some mascara.
Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen and Supergoop Glow Screen are two sunscreen I enjoy using on my face. I have used both under makeup and they work beautifully. I also use Glow Screen on the highlights of my face sometimes, just like a highlighter and I love the effect.
As for body sunscreen I enjoy using Neutrogena Beach Defense SPF 60+ (not photographed). It comes in a spray bottle. I like the spray-on mist formula and reapply it every 2 hours. This does not irritate my kids' delicate skin. Moreover, I find it convenient to apply as compared to a lotion sunscreens. Not just in the June makeup and skincare list, sunscreen is in all my monthly favorites. But I don't want my posts to look repetitive, so I don't mention it sometimes.
Morning Vitamin C and Moisturizer Combo
Clinique Fresh Pressed Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10% and Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel is one combination I used a lot in June. I add the Vitamin C booster to the moisturizer and apply it to my face and neck. Always follow up with sunscreen. Sunscreen is the most important part of my skincare routine.
Once opened, you have to use the Clinique Fresh Pressed Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C 10% in 7 days. I only use this in the morning and it lasted me well over 14 days. It stays fresh for 7 days, after that there is some oxidation of the product.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel is an oil-free, fragrance-free, vegan moisturizer. It is a lightweight moisturizer that absorbs quickly and hydrates my skin. Also, it mixed well with the Vitamin C booster drops. A good combination in my opinion.
ella+mila Nail Care Nail Enamel Primer (All About the Base) is my current base coat. This vegan ridge-filling base coat is quick drying and chip resistant. I apply this base coat and allow it to dry before applying any nail polish. I feel this protects my nails as well as helps my polish look smooth.
