I love uncomplicated makeup. Quick looks, just swipe and blend kind of products are my jam. That's where the Kosas 10-Second Liquid Eyeshadow comes in. As always, I did my research, saw the swatches on the Sephora website. Read hundreds of reviews and saw swatches on other blogs, before deciding to buy the 2 colors.

According to the Sephora website this is “A clean, water-based, fast-drying, crease-resistant formula, for buildable, high-impact color that stays all day.” It also has the clean at Sephora seal.

Packaging

The plastic tube reminds me of a lip gloss container. Once you open the tube, you will find a doe-foot applicator wand just like a lip gloss applicator. I use this wand to directly apply the product to my eyes.

Formula

I was shocked when I saw this eyeshadow. When they say liquid, they mean liquid. I had read numerous reviews before buying the Kosas 10-Second Liquid Eyeshadows. Still nothing prepared me for the shock I got when I saw them for the first time. Sephora website says “This product is vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free. The formula is carefully crafted with skin-benefiting ingredients to smooth and tone—that’s skincare for your eyelids.” The formula contains Galactoarabinan, Jojoba Oil and Orange Flower Water.

Shades

Kosas currently has 8 shades. I am hoping Kosas adds some more colors to their 10-Second Liquid Eyeshadow line. The shades I purchased are Globe and Copper Halo.

My Experience

I absolutely love these eyeshadows. The water-based formula is fast drying. According to Kosas it is “skincare for your eyelids.” You have to shake the tube vigorously to mix the liquid eyeshadow. This is because there is separation when the product is not in use. Once you shake the container, the contents mix and can be applied easily to your eyes. . Then just swipe it across your lids and blend it with your fingers or brush. The color you see in the tube, once mixed is the color on my lids.

The directions are very simple. Shake the tube until you hear the metal balls click. To apply sweep over clean, dry lids starting at the lash line. Then blend with a finger or a synthetic eyeshadow brush. I allow the first layer to dry before applying a second layer if I want to add more color. Remember to close the cap tightly after each use. Also store horizontally for optimal application.

I get more than 8 hours without creasing with these eyeshadows. With Kosas 10-Second eyeshadow you don't have to perfect in your application technique. That's what I love about the product. It's great for effortless, quick looks. I love the formula and the 2 shades that I picked. It dries quickly as promised and is buildable. I am definitely thinking of adding more colors. Since it is so liquidy you have to keep it upright during application.
