Skincare Tag Questions Answered

Let's talk about skincare today. Skincare can certainly be overwhelming. But it doesn't have to be. In this post I'll answer a few commonly asked skincare tag questions. Firstly, that will give you some information about my routine. And if you reply I'll know more about your skincare. I call it tag questions because these are the type of questions you mostly see answered in tag articles.

1. Describe your skincare routine?

I try to keep things as simple as possible. My morning and evening skincare routines are different. I have combination skin. In the morning, its cleanser, moisturizing toner, Vitamin C serum and last but not the least sunscreen. If I am indoors I'll use SPF 30. Whenever I have plans of going out in the mornings I use a higher SPF.

In the evening I start with cleanser, a treatment toner, a treatment serum, moisturizer and sometimes a few drops of oil. I alternate between AHA, BHA and Retinol/Retinoids. Sometimes, I also give my skin a break and use just hydration products, depending on how my skin is behaving.

These days I also try to use masks weekly. But I am not that consistent. I also love using face mists throughout the day.

2. What are your favorite types of products?

I love using facial mists and oils. My favorite facial mist these days is the Heritage Rose Water face Mist. It is Vegan and has just 2 ingredients. I love Josie Maran's Argan Oil. It works wonders on your face, hands hair and any other dry spots on your body.

3. High-end skincare or High-end makeup?

I wish I could pick both. But, if I only had to pick one, I would pick high-end skincare over high-end makeup. Because, if my skin is healthy, glowing I would need minimal makeup. This is so difficult, because I still want all the pretty lipsticks and blushes…ha ha.

4. Do you use eye cream?

Yes I do. Of course, this is such a controversial topic. I think the under eye skin is much more delicate that the rest of your face. So I use an eye cream specially designed for the under eye area and a face moisturizer for the rest of my face.

5. What skin care tips do you have for us?

Moisturize even if you have oily skin. Double cleanse to remove all traces of makeup. Also, drink lots of water and liberally apply SPF…everyday. One tip that I am still learning to follow myself is, to be consistent.
