Nudestix was started in 2014 by then teen sisters Ally and Taylor Frankel with help from mom Jenny Frankel. I find that it is a very chic and functional makeup line with less is more kind of approach to  makeup. I have tried a few things from the brand, Nudestix Mini Sunset Nudes Vegan Set, being one of them.

Packaging

Most of the Nudestix sets come in a tin container which is made out of tinplate, an infinitely recyclable material. Every tin container has a built in  mirror, which is perfect for anyone on the go. A sharpener is included in the Nudestix Mini Sunset Nudes kit. The tin can be reused in so many ways. You can use travel-friendly tin to organize your makeup, jewelry, headsets, cotton swabs, feminine hygiene products, etc. Nudestix also has a  Save-A-Tin recycling program, the details of which are on their website.

Formula and Shades

The Nudestix Sunset Nudes set is a 3 piece set that is all about a super quick glowly, blushed, fresh-off the beach look. The Mini Nudies Matte All-Over Blush Color in Sunset Strip is a matte orangish blush. Mini Magnetic Luminous Eye Color in Sunrise Star is shimmery orangish/coral shade with shimmer. The Mini Gel Color Lip + Cheek Balm in Babe is a glossy  peach shade on me.

My Experience

Just draw and smudge and you are done. No sponges, puffs or brushes required. I love how easy and uncomplicated it is to apply these colors for a quick look. All the sticks have a creamy texture that goes on smoothly. The shades included in the Nudestix Mini Sunset Nudes set are perfect for summer. The colors suited my medium NC 37, Chanel Beige 40 complexion perfectly. There is no skipping with the eyeshadow. You have time to blend before it sets. The lipstick being glossy has to be reapplied after eating. The blush goes perfectly with the other colors in the set. All in all it is a very quick, easy coordinated makeup look. These products leave behind a slight stain, as seen in the second pic below, after I tried to wipe them off with a tissue.

A big plus is that you can just  throw the whole tin in your bag. A safe way to carry your make-up. No hunting for it at the bottom of your bag. Oh the horror of finding an open makeup product at the bottom of your purse. Been there. Done that. No thank you! No danger of that happening here, everything is secure in the tin.
