Shimmering ROEN 11:11 Eyeshadow Palette Review

I have to agree, I got to this ROEN cosmetics party late. In fact this is the first product I have tried from the brand. Let's see how the ROEN 11:11 Eyeshadow Palette performs. ROEN started in 2019.

The brand website says “This MAGICAL Palette was tested by artists and real-women combined. The consensus is that it's easy to use and fool-proof, even for those that have the fear of eye shadow. No shades in the 11:11 Palette will go unused; they are the staple colors you will actually use and love. Methodically designed, they mix well with each other or stand out alone.”

Packaging

The product is packaged in a gunmetal coated plastic container. It is very lightweight but not cheap looking from any angle. The compact has a mirror for easy touch-ups. In addition, the eyeshadow palette comes in a white velvet pouch.

Formula

ROEN says “Our Lid Illumes perform without compromising on ingredients. Clean, Vegan and Gluten Free.” In the first place, the formula is nothing like I have tried before. Moreover, the shadows can be applied with your fingers. While the eyeshadows have a very dense texture the brand says to use firm pressure while applying these eyeshadows. Notably, all shades in this palette have shimmer to flaky glitter and give an especially shimmering look. This eyeshadow is clean, vegan and gluten free.

ROEN 11:11 Eyeshadow Palette — Packaging and Shades

Shades

The four shades in the 11:11 palette are Situation, Hashtag, Ciao! and Rosie.

Situation is a shimmering champagne. It is the lightest shade in this palette and is flaky. It almost feels wet when applied and sometimes feels patchy. I have to pat it multiple times to get the desired effect.

Hashtag is a shimmering taupe. I love this color. It has multi-dimensional shimmers in it. Texture wise it is similar to Situation.

Ciao is beautiful berry brown shade. You can build it up in intensity by repeated patting the product onto your lid with your finger.

Rosie is my favorite shade from this palette. It is a beautiful peach shade with the least amount of chunky/flaky glitter. You can apply it more evenly because of this. It is pigmented and looks amazing as a one lid eyeshadow shade.

My Experience

The effect this palette provides is phenomenal. The ROEN 11:11 eyeshadow palette is simply stunning. Even if you use just one eyeshadow for a simple look, your look will be multi-dimensional because of the shimmers in the shades. You can apply these with a brush but I find that they apply better with my fingers. The fingers warm up the dense creamy product and it is easy to place the shimmery eyeshadow on your lids. The shades look good layered together or you can use just one shade from the palette for a simple one color look. Every single shade here is capable of giving you a perfect one shadow look. However since this palette has no matte shades or an under the brow shade, I have to use other colors from my collection to finish my look.

I always wear eyeshadow primer and this is a cream product with shimmer so in my opinion, primer helps a lot. The photos don't do the palette any justice. I tried to capture the multi dimensional shimmer and flakes but they did not show up well. There is a significant amount of fall out with this palette. So I have to add an additional step of cleaning up after applying my eyeshadow. This is also the reason why I wear this palette when I am going for a really shimmery, metallic look, which is not an everyday preference for me.

All that multi dimensional shimmer, glitter was difficult to capture on camera.

Cons

Every shade has glitter, no matte shades included. Not a whole palette by itself.
There is fallout, so I need time to clean up after I apply my eyeshadow
