Chanel came out with two brand new palettes for the eyes and cheeks for Spring 2023. I picked up the brand new Chanel Les 4 Rouges Yeux Joues Palette in the shade Tendresse. These are my 2 cents about this palette.

The Nordstrom website says that this is “A limited-edition multi-use powder palette that explores every nuance of red.”

This palette looks exactly like the Les 4 Ombre eyeshadow palette, except that it is bigger in size. You also get a lot more product in this palette. Actually, you get 12 grams/0.42 oz product in this palette. Compare this to the eyeshadow palette, which has 0.07oz of product. So that's why these palettes are charged significantly more. However this palette does not come with a signature Chanel velvet pouch.

How To Use

I found this information on the Nordstrom website. “For cheeks, apply any hue for a healthy-looking glow. Use the top-right shade as a highlighter on the tops of cheekbones and wherever you want to catch the light. Blend multiple colors together to create a new one. For eyes, apply the deeper tones as a shadow or liner. Blend to soften the effect. Add the highlighter to the inner corners of eyes to give them a wide-awake look.”

My Experience

I have used the Chanel Les 4 Rouges Yeux Joues Palette in Tendresse a couple of times now. Since, I enjoy using this palette, I was wondering about the deeper toned palette Caractere as well. But I think I'll get more use out of this palette. All four shades in this palette have sheer to medium pigment.

The shimmery rose highlighter is so pretty and not over the top at all. The tan shade adds some warmth to my skin. I was worried that this shade would not show up on me at all, but it shows up on my medium skin. The coral blush is pretty for spring/summer. Last but not the least the deepest reddish blush has medium pigment. Don't be afraid to use this. It applies sheer and can be built up. All the powders do not have any fall out. The texture is not to hard but not very soft either. Most importantly, you can layer all these shades to get numerous combination.

I liked that this palette works on my eyes and cheeks. Moreover, I created subtle looks, which is my style predominantly. And I immensely enjoyed using the Chanel Les 4 Rouges Yeux Joues Palette in Tendresse. As a matter of fact, that I plan to use this palette a lot this spring and summer. Just because it saves me tons of time. And above all I like the color story.
