How To Rock MAC Heroine Lipstick

I stayed away from bold lipsticks for the longest time. They looked amazing on other women. But on me, I was not sure. Gradually I got into bolder colors. I would wear them around the house to build up my confidence. Then I started wearing it outside and got compliments and my confidence grew. These days I wear whatever color I want to without worrying too much. But, but, but I am still a nude lipstick girl at heart. Though I love bold lips too. Let's see how I rock MAC Heroine Lipstick.

MAC Heroine is a Purple lipstick lovers dream. It is a daring, bold lipstick which reminds me of purple orchids. I think this will look good on so many skin tones. Heroine is perfect for a statement look. It is from MAC's Matte formula.

Eye Makeup

Whenever I wear MAC Heroine I prefer to wear warm brown eyeshadows. So today I used MAC Swiss Chocolate, Texture and for my brow bone a shade like MAC Brule eyeshadow. Sometimes I like to use NARS Sophia, a neutral brown with MAC Heroine.

I like to line my eyes with any dark brown/black eyeliner I have at hand. I prefer it to be dark blackish brown, but not totally black. Heroine looks great with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Whiskey and Marc Jacobs Brown(Out) Eyeliner.

After I finish the rest of my face, I apply two coats of mascara as my last step.

Rest Of The Face Makeup

This is the usual, sunscreen, primer, tinted moisturizer or foundation etc. One blush that I like to pair with MAC Heroine Lipstick is NARS Luster. On me Luster is a peach with some brown tones. I love this blush on medium skintones. It is beautiful!
