Are you wearing makeup during quarantine? Our situation has changed so much in the past few months. From getting ready for work every morning, we went to Google classrooms and google meets, zoom calls etc. Did your makeup routine change? Mine did, definitely! I used to love my morning routine and these days things have changed a lot. On days that I have to look presentable a bit of concealer, a mattifying powder, mascara and lip balm always do the trick. As for me, I am not doing foundation much, paying more attention to skincare etc. Let me know in the comments section what changes you made to your daily routine. Today I have a few Fenty Beauty Items, by Rihaana to review for you.
This was the first product that I tried from Fenty Beauty. It is a beautiful reflective rose bronze moisturizing lip gloss. This gloss has a sweet candy fragrance that goes away in a few minutes and does not bother me. This is a thick gloss but not as sticky as few of the other brands. The doe foot applicator brings up a lot of product , so I just slide the applicator onto the sides of the bottle to take the excess out, before I apply. Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Luminizer does not impart much color to my pigmented lips, but I love it cause it is exceptionally moisturizing. This gloss is formulated without parabens and phthalates. The product is also cruelty-free.
I wanted to buy something else from Fenty Beauty and went for this safe dusty rose colored lipstick, Spanked. It is advertised as a matte lipstick but feels more like a satin formula to me. The Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick has no discernible smell. Love how this color looks on my NC-37/40, Chanel Beige 40 skin tone. On me it is a little darker than dusty rose with some terracotta thrown in for good measure.
The Fenty Beauty shade I have is Uncuffed, which is described as a rosy mauve. I am not a huge fan of liquid lipsticks, just because I prefer hydrating formulas more. Whenever I see a shade I like, I feel maybe this formula is going to be the one to turn me into a liquid lipsticks loving person, but I always end up wearing a gloss or balm under or over it and never wear just the liquid lipstick on its own for long. That’s just me.
This shade is a soft rosy color and dries down to a matte finish. It’s an everyday kind of shade which I wear over a lip balm. I see after reading the reviews of this product that many beauty lovers have tried this and love it even without a lip balm, because it is so long lasting. It just depends, I have always loved moisturizing lipsticks more than matte ones. So if you have tried it and love it, let me know. If you love matte colors, this rosy mauve might be just right for you. I love that Fenty Beauty is such an all inclusive brand.
Invisimatte Blotting Powder is truly a very lightweight power that sets my makeup beautifully. I also use it to set my under eye makeup. It is an extremely finely milled powder that does a great job of blurring out my pores and makes my skin look smooth. I have combination skin and layering up over foundation with Invisimatte has never messed up my makeup. It does not turn ashy or white on me, remember less is more. The packaging feels sturdy but not too heavy. Most of the time, I use my kabuki brush to apply Invivimatte over foundation. Sometimes, before calls or just stepping out, I use it just over sunscreen without foundation and it makes my face look matte, without giving me the dreaded white cast.
Seeing that I have hit pan on this one, that must say something.
