Many brands came out with foundations in January. I like that brands are including more skincare ingredients in their makeup products. The No 1 De Chanel Foundation has skincare benefits as well. I was drawn to it, because of the skincare benefit claims.

The Ulta website says this is “A buildable foundation with a luminous finish. Enriched with Red Camellia Oil and moisturizing ingredients, the formula softens skin and helps protect against environmental aggressors. The complexion appears plump and naturally more beautiful. Day after day, skin takes on a youthful glow.”

Packaging Of No 1 De Chanel Revitalizing Foundation

The foundation comes in a frosted round glass bottle with a black plastic cap. Also it has a pump to dispense the product. Additionally the product packaging is environmentally sound for a reduced carbon footprint.

No 1 De Chanel Revitalizing Foundation Shades

This foundation comes in 20 shades. I have been using 40 Beige for years, that's why I decided to go with shade B40. When I went to the store I tried BD41 and thought that also matched my skin tone. However since I have used 40 Beige for years I decided to go with B40. BD41 is more warmer than B40.

My Experience

This is a sheer to light coverage foundation. It has a slightly luminous finish, I would say. I shake the bottle well and apply 2 pumps all over my face and a bit on the neck as well. The texture is not very thin or watery. It has a slight floral scent which dissipates fast. I find this to be extremely lightweight, not at all heavy. I feel like there is nothing on my face. My skin also feels hydrated. Furthermore it did not crease into the fine lines on my face.

I love the radiant finish this No 1 De Chanel Revitalizing Foundation gives me. However if you prefer a more matte finish, you can just use your favorite powder on top of this. Even with my combination skin I got about 8 hours before I had to use a blotting paper to soak up the excess oil. Overall my skin looked and felt fresh and natural.
