Do you like mini palettes? I loved huge eyeshadow palettes. Don't get me wrong. I still do. But there is something special about a mini palette with your favorite eyeshadow shades. When I heard that Urban Decay was coming out with a Naked3 Mini Eyeshadow Palette, I wanted it. I did not buy the Urban Decay Naked3 Original Palette, so it made sense to me to buy the mini one.
The Sephora website says this is “A mini vegan eyeshadow palette that is inspired by the fan-favorite Naked3 Palette.” It features six new rosy-neutral eyeshadows.
Packaging
Naked3 mini is half the size of the original Naked3 palette. The packaging is similar to the other Naked mini palettes. The plastic palette has a nice sized mirror, which is always helpful. I like that it snaps shut and will be great for travel.
Formula
Naked3 Mini Palette has 3 shimmer and 3 matte shades. It is a cruelty-free makeup product.
Shades
The shades included in this palette are Glassy (ivory sheen), Public (peachy-champagne shimmer), Laced Up (dusty-rose matte), Stolen (mauve shimmer), Right Time (grey-plum matte), Spiced (deep charcoal-brown with purple sheen). These are brand new shades. None of the shades are from the Naked3 Palette, so its confusing why they would name this palette the Naked3 mini.
My Experience
The eyeshadows are exactly what I expected them to be. I love the soft, rosy tones. Mostly, I use a combination of the lighter shades and a bit of the deeper shades to darken my crease. You can create super smokey looks as well as simple looks with this palette. I see myself travelling with this palette and creating different looks with it.
This is perfect for neutral, rose toned looks. I always use an eyeshadow primer, because I have oily lids. You can use this palette wet or dry. To use it wet, spray your brush with setting spray before using. Online the Naked3 Mini Palette looked cool toned. I prefer warmer shades. But I am happy to report that the shades are not as cool toned as they appear to be in the online pictures.
I experienced some fall out with Public. Sometimes I apply this shade with my finger instead of using a brush. Stolen is so beautiful and looks pretty on the lids. Right Time and Spiced and smooth and pigmented. Overall I am happy with this palette.
