Ulta always has sales on their Ulta Brand cosmetics. I went to Ulta to pick up something and came out carrying more goodies for myself. In my defense, they were on sale. The goodies in question are the Ulta beauty cream eyeshadow & liner.
I had tried a few Ulta brand eyeliners a while back and liked them. So I figured their cream eyeshadows might be good too.
What Ulta Says
“Ulta’s Cream Eyeshadow & Liner long wear, multi-tasking cream formula delivers intense amount of color as an eyeshadow or eyeliner, while feeling lightweight on the eyelids. The component includes a built-in sharpener for precise application every time you use it. Keep this ideal, purse-friendly eyeshadow with you while on-the-go!”
The product is housed in a plastic twist up container. It has a built in sharpener. It essentially is a cream eyeshadow stick.
The Ulta Beauty Cream Eyeshadow & Liner has a cream finish that dries down to a powder.
The four shades I picked up are Taupe Of The World, Mauve On Over, Rosy Cheeks and Rule Of Plum. Taupe Of The World is a beautiful taupe brown metallic shade. Mauve On Over is a medium mauve shimmer. Rosy Cheeks is a light pink shimmer and Rule Of Plum is a deep rich plum.
The shimmer shades are beautiful, however I have to go over a few times with them to build up the color. I wish they were a little more pigmented, but this does not stop me from using them. Rule of plum is very creamy and pigmented. One swipe is enough. All the shades set fast, so swipe and blend, swipe and blend. Once set they stay set in place for 8 hours on my eyelids. I have pigmented, oily eyelids and I do use a primer under these.
- Beautiful shades
- Travel friendly
- I do wish some of the shades were a little more pigmented
Where to buy
I got mine at Ulta. Ulta Beauty Cream Eyeshadow & Liner retail for $8.50. Ulta has a BOGO half off from time to time. These are a steal with or without the sale.
