I wanted to try Tom Ford Foundations for the longest time. But I have other foundations to go through first. Then the pandemic hit and I started wearing less make up. So no question of finishing anything up. Lucky for me, I laid my hands on Tom Ford Traceless Soft Matte Foundation sample card, during one of my Nordstrom purchases.
Tough I did not find my color match, I thought no harm in swatching them for you. I got a sample card with four shades.
The Sephora website says that this is “A long-wear foundation infused with hyaluronic acid and light-diffusing microspheres for a blurring effect and a skin-like matte finish—in 40 shades.
This formula stays color-true for up to 10 hours and resists fading. Traceless Soft Matte Foundation provides a matte finish without looking cakey or dry. Soft-focus microsphere powders blur the look of imperfections, and wear-extending pigments provide medium-full, buildable coverage that lasts all day without settling. Skin still looks and moves like skin and feels smoother over time—even after foundation has been removed.
This formula is also humidity- and sweat-resistant, dermatologist tested, noncomedogenic, and is designed for all skin types.”
This is a liquid foundation that can be used by all skin types. Moreover it has Hyaluronic Acid, Antioxidants, Vitamins C and E, Caffeine and Soft-Focus Microsphere Powders as stated on the Sephora website.
The shades swatched in this post are 0.5 Porcelain, 4.0 Fawn, 7.2 Sepia, 10.5 Mocha. I fall in between Fawn and Sepia. There are 9 shades between Fawn and Sepia and hopefully I can go to the store and get color matched.
This is not a review post. I just wanted to share the swatches. Still, I wore this on my face by mixing Fawn and a bit of Sepia. It has a runny texture. Felt very comfortable on my skin, even though it was not my correct shade. It did not break me out. I think it performed well on my combination skin. So I am definitely interested in getting color matched soon. That is if something else doesn't catch my eye. Subsequently, I had the opportunity to get color matched and I was matched to shade 6.0 Natural (not swatched).
