NARS High Profile Cheek Palette

Should you buy the beautiful NARS High Profile Cheek Palette?

I am reviewing another Holiday 2021 makeup palette today. Today the spotlight is on the NARS High Profile Cheek Palette. NARS powder products have always worked for me, so I decided to buy this without swatching it at the store first.

According to Sephora this is a “A holiday-themed blush, highlighter and contour palette featuring six limited-edition shades in one of NARS’s most innovative formulas.”

Packaging Of The NARS High Profile Cheek Palette

The glossy pink outer packaging has a beautiful ribbon embossing all over it. The powders inside also have a similar ribbon detailing. This palette has six powder shades that I use to contour, highlight, and add some pop. This palette also has a nice sized mirror.

  • Spin Off (shimmering mauve pink)
  • High Demand (shimmering cinnamon)

Formula Of The NARS High Profile Cheek Palette

This palette has pressed powder shades. The highlight shade is more shimmery than the rest of the shades. The rest of the shades are almost satiny. The brownish toned shades can be used for contouring. I love to mix the shades provided in this palette. Also all the shades work on my medium skin tone. For reference I wear 40 Beige in Chanel foundations and shade 7Neutral in Charlotte Tilbury's Airbrush Flawless Foundation. In MAC I am somewhere between NC35-NC40, depending on the season and the formula of the foundation.

My Experience

Since I got this palette without actually swatching it, I was a not sure if all the shades would suit me. I was very thrilled when I realized that all the shades looked good on my medium skin tone. These shades look good used individually or mixed together. I use the highlighter shade with a light hand. Depending one your skin tone you can use the blushes with a light hand or a heavy hand. I love the variation this palette provides with pink, coral, and brownish toned shades.

In my opinion this palette will suit various skin tones. The highlight shade might not suit very light toned beauties, as it might be too bronzy. It is really great that NARS came out with a palette where we can use all the shades. I don't like it when I cannot use all the shades included in a palette. All the shades are smooth and blend beautifully. The longevity of these blushes is great too.
