New Natasha Denona Mini Crush Eyeshadow Palette for Valentine’s Day Review And Swatches

I love Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes. After discovering the brand last year I have been slowly collecting her eyeshadow palettes. I have her Midi Love Palette and the Mini Love palette. But I love minis because they are so easy to travel with. That's why I got the Natasha Denona Mini Crush Eyeshadow Palette. It's a new release especially for Valentine's Day.

Sephora website says this is “A limited-edition (…) eyeshadow palette that is based on the midi-size Love Palette and comes with a medium-blending eyeshadow brush.”

Packaging Of The Natasha Denona Mini Crush Palette

The Natasha Denona Mini Crush Palette has a similar packaging to her other mini palettes. It is a 5 pan plastic palette with a transparent mirrorless lid. The name of the brand is on top of the lid. Also it is extremely lightweight and there is no wasted space. The only difference is that this palette comes with a brush. So for the same price you get a palette and a brush with this kit.

The shades are not all new. The Cranberry Palette has the shade Daisy. Natasha Denona Safari Palette has the Lotus shade. I could not find any information on Koi, so I assume Koi is a new shade. The Midi Love Palette has the shade Soul. Also Claret is in the Metropolis Palette.

My Experience

Frankly speaking, I did not need this palette, since I already have the Midi Love and the Mini Love Palette. But the shades are still new to me, because I do not have the rest of palettes. So for me the only repeat shade is the shade Soul, which is included in the Midi Love Palette. Also I am not very comfortable with colored eyeshadow and have decided to go out of my comfort zone and try more colors this year. That's why I picked up this palette.

I have to add that Lotus looks so boring in the pan, but it is an absolute useful shade to have in this palette. Lotus just got the whole look together. I also think Daisy is such a pretty shade. The overall look was out of my comfort zone but my sister encouraged me and I got the confidence to post my pics wearing these pink shades. But I think it's perfect for Valentine's Day.

Swatches Of The Natasha Denona Mini Crush Palette

In this Natasha Denona Mini Crush Palette you have red based shades, pinkish red shades and mauvy pink shades. They all swatch beautifully and are very pigmented. There is a little bit of a kickback. The darker purple mattes Koi and Soul take some time to blend. Not a huge deal breaker. I just had to do the windshield wiper motion for a little longer with those shades. The shades Daisy, Lotus and Claret are stunning. Daisy is a chroma crystal shade and will take you look up a notch.

This palette screams Valentine's Day! It is more red toned than the Mini Love Palette. The Mini Love has more mauve toned shades. Frankly if you have a lot of Natasha Denona palettes, you do not need this. If you have the Midi Love and the Mini Love you do not need this. But if you are someone who really likes this mini curated palette and think it would be great for travel, go for it.
