In Switzerland, it is illegal to own just one guinea pig. They are naturally very social animals so the rule is to have them in pairs. That's a fantastic rule and makes me thankful that we have two guinea pigs. During the pandemic our pets helped calm us , they are such good listeners and such adorable lap animals. The kids love to read to them and just spend time with them. They love this certain brand of pet food and will not eat pellets from another brand. So we buy them the pellets they love.
