Moisturizing Face Oils In My Skincare Routine

When you think of face oil, do you immediately think of acne? That is far from the truth actually. Oils provide your skin with hydration, nourish and soften it. In this post I want to share three moisturizing face oils in my skincare routine.

Face Oils
The Ordinary Rose Hip Seed Oil

The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil

I use this as the last step in my night time skincare routine. My skin loves this when it is dry and in need of some extra TLC. My skin feels less irritated in the morning after using this. It is vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free, and comes in recyclable packaging. It does not have a very strong scent. I am not a fan of the packaging, because I feel the dropper cap does not screw back all the way to the bottom. But for the price I do not mind and just to be careful I don't travel with it.

Moisturizing Face Oil
Josie Maran 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil

Josie Maran 100 percent Pure Argan Oil

What can I say about this oil that hasn't been said before? This product is amazing! I use it on my face and hair and find it so nourishing. It works on my dry hands and cuticles too. I have tried Argan Oil from multiple brands, however I always return back to this. No clogged pores, no acne after using this. This is such a great multi-purpose product. Josie Maran Argan Oil has the clean at Sephora seal. I also use this on my kids eczema spots and it helps. This face oil is really moisturizing!

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate
Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate

Kiehl's Since 1851 Midnight Recovery Concentrate

This is an anti-aging night serum that hydrates skin overnight for a smoother-looking complexion and a radiant glow come morning, according to the Sephora Website. I love the herbal, calming scent this face oil has. My full sized bottle got done but I have a couple of minis to get through, before I buy it again. I have combination skin and wake up with soft, hydrated skin after using this at night. For me, this is not a serum though, it's more of a moisturizing face oil for me. I absolutely love using the Midnight Recovery Concentrate after exfoliation.

Facial Oils
The Ordinary Rose Hip Seed Oil, Josie Maran 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil and Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate

My Experience

I love these three oils for different reasons. Depending on how my skin is feeling I pick one of these oils as the last step in my evening skincare routine. Josie Maran Argan Oil is the most hydrating on me. So I use it when skin is exceptionally dry. The Ordinary Cold Pressed Rose Hip Oil is the oil I use every night and I love the effect in the morning. Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate makes me feel like I am at a spa. It's perfect when I want a pick me up, because I love the scent. It's very calming to me. I alternate this with the Ordinary rose hip oil at times.

I love all three and they do not break me out. A very big plus because I have acne prone skin.
