Do you like lip oils? I kept seeing the Merit Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil all over Instagram and wanted to know what all the hype was about. So I decided to purchase one. The shade I selected was Pink Beet. By the way a random fact about me, I love beets. Do you?

Packaging Of The Merit Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil

The product is packaged in a clear plastic tube with the brand name printed at the front of the tube. I love the gold and the clear tube packaging. The applicator is a regular doe foot applicator.

My Experience

The first thing that struck me was the buttery-smooth consistency. The Merit shade slick lip oil is very lightweight and made my lips feel soft on application. I could definitely see the sheer color on my lips. This is not sticky or tacky like some lip glosses. It leaves behind a soft sheen that I love. It feels hydrating and I get about 2 hours from it. I don't mind reapplying it. Also, I did not experience any feathering nor did it settle into my lip lines.

Pink Beet does not look like the Sephora website pictures. It is more of a warm coral with orangish tones. I loved the formula and how hydrating it felt on my lips. I have dry lips and am always on the lookout for hydrating lip products. This lip oil fits the bill. I would love to try other shades in this range.
