Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 Review

Summer time is perfect to wear a tinted moisturizer. I used the older version of the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 for years. I was a fan of the older version, so I had mixed feelings when I came to know they had a new formula. Over the years I tried a few tinted moisturizers. And a few months back I tried this a new version of the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer.

According to Sephora this is “a bestselling tinted moisturizer with a new and improved formula, infused with skincare benefits for up to 24-hour hydration and SPF 30 sunscreen to protect.”

Packaging Of The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

Like the older version, this comes packaged in a squeeze tube. I like the modern look of this new tube. It has a transparent plastic area which shows you what the actual shade looks like. As the product gets over, I suspect you can also tell that there is little product left. That way you can always restock in time. There are 20 shades and all of them come in full size, as well as mini travel size tubes.

Formula Of The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

The new formula has Macadamia and Kukui Seed Oils which help increase the skin's moisture levels. Silica Treated Pigment that helps create a soft-focus effect for a naturally dewy finish. Tamarind Seed Extract locks in moisture and provides antioxidant protection. It also has Avobenzone 2.5%, Octinoxate 7.49%, Octocrylene 2%, and Oxybenzone 1% for sun protection. It provides a light coverage and good for normal, dry, and combination skin types. The shades have three undertones W for Warm, N for Neutral and C for Cool which makes selection a bit easier.

My Experience With Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

I have been testing out the new version for the past couple of weeks. The original was a favorite among people who wanted that dewy, no makeup, makeup look. This new revamped tinted moisturizer comes with higher SPF, which I am always a fan of. It works well over my other skincare items. A big plus because it did not irritate my skin or cause my face to breakout.

On me this has a very sheer coverage with a dewy finish. It gets more and more dewy as the day progresses. I use concealer under this at times, especially under my eyes. Also I have combination skin that gets oiler as the day progresses. So I set this with a finishing powder sometimes. The finishing powders that work well for me are Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light.

I picked the shade 3N1 Sand after trying a few shades at Sephora. Again, the coverage is very, very sheer. But its evens out my skin and I find it good for no makeup, makeup looks.
